A passionate linguist who has worked on a variety of text types, including media, political, governmental, journalistic, commercial, legal, economic, educational, technical, cultural, and personal texts. My debut literary translation into English: The Holy Sail, a novel by Qatari journalist and author Abzulaziz al-Mahmoud, was published in December 2015. I have translated from Arabic The Global Majlis, a biography of Hamad bin Abdulaziz al-Kuwari, Qatari diplomat and current minister of culture, and UNESCO secretary general candidate, published in 2016; and Amwaj, a memoir by Iraqi literary critic Dr. Abdullah Ibrahim, commissioned by the Hamad bin Khalifa University Press (HBKU).
