I am an experienced, dedicated policy-maker, trainer, researcher and advocate for all things mental health and wellbeing. I have a particular interest in early intervention, and am delighted to currently work in developing policy and setting strategic direction in relation to adult mental health.I have extensive experience in both the voluntary/community and public sectors, primarily in training/development, but also in policy and research. My mental health specialisms include childhood trauma, (complex) post-traumatic stress disorder, 'personality disorder' and related issues around mental health. I hold a research Masters with distinction examining co-production within Recovery Colleges.My current career stage is as a policy officer within the Department of Health's Adult Mental Health Policy function.I have spoken widely at (local, national and international) conferences and public events, and have published in a variety of publications - please see below for details.I am a gamer, cat ownee, coffee obsessive, mum of one and a rocker...and definitely an individual :)
