Dr. Bloch specializes not only in rehabilitation and return from injury, but also injury prevention and strengthening. Dr. Bloch spent 6 years as the athletic trainer for multiple sports at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. It was her expertise in helping an athlete’s body to work to its maximum potential that landed her on the Olympic Game’s Sports Medicine staff working as both an Athletic Trainer and Chiropractor.Dr. Bloch worked with the U.S. Men’s and Women’s Water Polo teams in both the 2008 Beijing Olympics and the 2012 London Olympics. Her impressive resume also includes working with athletes at the Pan Am Games in Rio de Janeiro, the Bobsled World Cup in Germany, athletes from a variety of sports at the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) national training center, the Women’s Professional Softball League, and several NCAA Division I athletes to name a few. Currently the team chiropractor for the NHL Anaheim Ducks.

*Sports Performance and Injury Prevention*Dr. Karen Bloch and Dr. Erika Figge are both Chiropractors who practice in Long Beach, CA. Dr. Bloch has a history as an athletic trainer and later earned her Doctorate of Chiropractic. She has been a part of the medical staff at both the 2008 and 2012 Olympics. Dr. Figge is a former Team USA athlete who still plays water polo for the New York Athletic Club. She spent 6 years as a strength and conditioning coach before she earned her Doctorate of Chiropractic. Together, Bloch and Figge have created innovative ways to prevent injury and improve performance for athletes across many sports utilizing dynamic warmup, proper strength training, effective recovery and manual therapies along with chiropractic adjustments. Their goal is always to keep athletes performing at their highest level, and, if you can prevent injury, you have the great opportunity to improve performance.
