For SAMHSA, provides support for site-visit reports on states' adherence to mental health block grant requirements. For HRSA, provided research and writing support for a book on the history of community health centers—The Health Center Program: Partnering with Communities to Build a Healthier Nation. For NIH, managed the publication of a National Cancer Institute monograph, Treating Smoking in Cancer Patients: An Essential Component of Cancer Care, from setting the timeline; editing chapters; and overseeing 508ing, web posting, and printing. For DOL, wrote success stories for state job retention initiatives for people injured on the job that touted program elements replicable across other state programs. For CDC, provided updates on data modernization for employees. For NIDA, wrote a script for a podcast on providing buprenorphine and treatment referral in the emergency room for people with opioid use disorder.

Shepherded booklets, brochures, fact sheets, and reports through the publications process, from concept development to the 508 process. Oversaw the work of editors, science writers, production staff, translators, web accessibility analysts, and printers to finalize, post, and print documents. Wrote content for an award-winning Department of Defense-sponsored Web site (www.ucanquit2.org) that helps military personnel quit using tobacco products. Developed ideas to promote Web site through social media optimization venues such as MySpace, Facebook, and Military.com. Conceptualized a game that informs users about the adverse effects of tobacco. Helped to research and write the Vision and Hearing chapter in Healthy People 2010: A Companion Document. Culled the literature available on the topics of dilated eye exams, cataract, diabetic retinopathy, refractive error, and vision rehabilitation. Wrote summaries on the topics, which provided supporting information to the chapter. Also served as the lead author on a white paper on technology transfer (T2) for the Centers for the Application of Prevention Technologies. The white paper outlined the history, definitions, and methods of evaluating T2.Wrote speeches for the directors of the Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS). Speeches were presented before the 26th annual conference of the Action Council for Cross-Cultural Mental Health and Human Services, and before the American Psychiatric Association about the CMHS response to the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks.
