I left the hospital a few years ago. . I had years of pleasure being the nurse to so many beautiful kids that taught me what life is truly about. Their hearts never fail. I primarily worked in infectious disease. The " dirty ones" its amazing what has happened in the world of medicine in the last 40 years. What we saw happen is whats jaw dropping. I have taken on a new role in helping care for the lifes end spectrum. Bringing the spirit of those that taught me what nursing is ...and what it takes to help someone. Its been a true pleasure to help someone that's seen it all. Quite a different role than helping those that will never see it. Blending of both. Lifes first years to its last.
