Assist Takini Network with a literature review of research regarding Native Peoples' Intergenerational and Historical Trauma. Compile a resource for publication of research for intervention strategies of a nationwide Native Peoples' parenting workshop.Support the development of a Native Peoples' Social Work Practice Course. Coordinate the meeting for collaboration with Native Peoples' Advisory Council and faculty at the University of Denver regarding the course to secure site, resource materials, and funding for members to attend a 3-day planning retreat, constructing curriculum, content, and Native presenters.Acquire grant funding and research literature for a collaborative project to develop a Native Peoples' Certificate Program with University of Denver, Fort Lewis State College, Four Corners Social Service Agencies, and Native Peoples to be delivered via Distance Education with interactive television. Examined concept of neighborhood change with University of Denver's Bridge Project, a community-based qualitative research project focused on children, agency, and neighborhood change. This project investigated children's conceptions of their neighborhood and their hopes for changes, relating these conceptions to structural aspects of neighborhoods as reflected in census data.

Identify sources of concern with Tribal Elders, community members, Tribal School, and Tribal Social Service Agencies to assess culturally appropriate social work intervention strategies. Provide conceptual foundation of historical trauma and cultural identity issues to Tribal elders related to youth suicide concerns.Obtain permission from Tribal Elders to present community education programs to Dakota communityincluding local radio service announcements and focus group of community participants and Tribal councilmembers.
