I work with a local company - Bespoke Boutiques. Current projects include: the re-launch of Blank Canvas, an online arts and culture magazine, based in Hull. I am a main writer, and Editor-in-Chief. I am also preparing educational materials about Dickens and Hull, which will be used in local primary and secondary schools as part of history/arts workshops. I cover Functional Skills, Basic Literacy, GCSE, A' Level and undergraduate English.I teach students of all ages and abilities, from Year Three upwards, and I also have four years of SEN experience.I help to prepare students for exams, and I also work in intervention to help students who may have Splds, or who are struggling with English at school, college and university. I am currently constructing a website to promote this work. I also produce learning programmes specifically related to the 19th century, which look for connections between the 1800s and the present day.I teach English to students of all ages, including those with specific learning disabilities, literacy needs and help with study skills.
