I am responsible for the strategic and operational development of direct lending products which support Corporate lending, borrowing and asset financing.

Karen is a manger at Deloitte Consulting, in the Strategy and Innovation business area. She is currently focused on asststing clients build new businesses within the financial services industry.

Karen is a senior consultant in the Strategy and Innovation department at Deloitte Consulting providing advisory services to a number of large South African and multinational firms across the Financial Analysis, Corporate Strategy, Market Entry and Innovation functions. Key clients include ABSA/BAGL, MTN, CHEP, Beauty Factory, AngloGold Ashanti and Deloitte & Touché.

Karen was a member of the internal SAP-BPC implementation team that assisted with the implementation and verification of SAP-BPC across the Reunert LTD Group. Core responsibilities included developing input schedules and the overall financial reporting pack using EvDRE’s and script writing, consolidating group information and preparing financial statements.

After her articles Karen spent three months in Dubai where she performed statutory audits on numerous entities, many in the telecommunication & technology industry.Key clients included Thuraya, Etisalat and The Yellow Pages.

As an auditor Karen performed statutory audits on numerous entities within the manufacturing industry, telecommunication & technology industry and tourism industry; performed SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) testing to identify weaknesses in the control environment and assisted in the consolidation of various group companies, including foreign controlled entities.Key clients included Net 1 UEPS, Scaw Metals, Wilderness Safari, SAPPI and Vox Telecom.
