Currently, I support the HoD with regards to developing the English curriculum in KS3. In addition I support the HoY for Year 10 and 11 with all pastoral issues in the year group. This year I have also been tasked with the role of EPQ Coordinator and am responsible for setting up the EPQ at the school as a new qualification.

I was in charge of 150 girls in Year 9 and responsible for the following:- Liaising with teachers, parents and management- Liaising with agencies outside of school including Social Services to support students with additional pastoral needs- Working with a range of students from diverse cultural and social backgrounds to support their development within an education setting- Delivered assemblies and presentations to students and parents- Organised provision of support and services to aid students and parents with additional needs inside school, such as in-house counselling- Behaviour management of students in Year 9

In the Assistant Subject Leader role I am responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the department. I help the subject leader develop and implement new initiatives; improve and enhance current SOWs; I co-ordinate any administrative tasks associated with KS3 (Yr 7-9) and I have to ensure rigorous tracking and monitoring via assessment.
