I have also worked with many individuals through coordinating and directing cross functional teams. My skills have been greatly enhanced with managing employee relations and working with the executive and management team to accomplish annual strategic and tactical goals.I began my professional career, putting my Strategic Management degree to use with Old American Services, a non standard automobile insurance company. While there, I obtained a second degree in Human Resource Management & Organizational Behavior. I was quickly promoted to Human Resource Manager. In my 15 years with Old American I honed my skills with payroll, benefits, performance management, recruitment, succession planning and maintaining all legal regulations within the company.Eager to learn new skills in a different environment, I then transitioned to STAK Design Inc., a custom design manufacturing firm as their new full cycle Human Resource Manager, working with both corporate and union environments. I enjoyed meeting new people and applying my experience & new ideas to the organization. I soon branched out as a Human Resource Director for the Healthcare Industry working for MedicOne Medical Response, a multi state operation. This role that is much more diversified and challenging. My main focus has been organizational strategy and employee value/retention. I am encouraged to apply my ideas and experience, bringing the Human Resource Department to it's full potential. I took on a challenge with the Acquisition between a Joint Venture and Wholly Owned Entity at Texas Health Resources, a multi-specialty surgical hospital. I had the opportunity to grasp a variety of new systems while taking on varied responsibilities in Change Management and Employee Engagement. I enjoy conversing and exchanging ideas with other Human Resource Professionals. I have been an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management which allows me to stay on top of ever changing Federal and State regulations.
