Within this role, I was responsible for developing and maintaining a mathematical model which describes the progression of chronic hepatitis B in Australia over time within a team working under the Surveillance for Hepatitis B Indicators Project funded by the Australian Government Department of Health. I was responsible for developing the methodology, writing model code, and analysing outputs. The objective of this project was to develop disease burden estimation and mathematical modelling approaches to inform the surveillance, monitoring, and evaluation of progress towards achieving the objectives of the National Hepatitis B Strategies and reporting against Hepatitis B Indicators in the National Blood-borne Viruses and Sexually Transmissible Infections Surveillance and Monitoring Plan.
