I am an honest, hard-working person who desires to directly impact lives by what I do. I love school counseling and the opportunity to help students on an academic and emotional level. I also feel a special calling to help the economically disadvantaged, specifically the homeless kids. I have been the McKinney-Vento Coordinator at a few different schools, and I really enjoy the advocacy aspect of that work. I also love career counseling, and have a deep desire to help my students make wise decisions regarding post secondary education. I see a real problem with students taking on huge amounts of student loan debt while pursuing a degree that has almost no job placement possibility upon completion. As much as I can from where I sit every day, I try to help students carefully navigate the path to adulthood. There is nothing I'd rather be doing than being a high school counselor, and I fully intend to finish out my career in this role.
