Learning is a lifelong activity, so I try to give new things my best shot …… even if it’s scary, even if it’s ‘not my thing’ and especially if I know it will challenge me.⛳ Golf – early days and need to practice more – but the lure of golfing abroad with my partner, in the sunshine, is definitely keeping me motivated.🎸 Guitar – I recently hit a plateau but get so much joy from playing – even if my family don’t like hearing me!👟 Running, swimming, and cycling (well that would be a triathlon). Taught me a huge amount about mental toughness.🧘🏼♀️ Yoga – I may never master crow pose but I keep on trying and I love the discipline and feeling the benefits.⛵ Sailing - Participating in the Cowes Tall Ship Race as part of my competent crew certificate – this seriously falls in to the ‘not my thing’ category – how I ended up doing this is a story for another day.🪂 Parachute jump – once was enough!👨👩👧👦 Learning together is a must for me as well as having plenty of small wins along the way.I know the ingredients that I need to make my learning an enjoyable and effective experience – what are yours?
