Cycle time decreased 71 hours, or 2.95 days, for lots going through these steps. Eliminated 16% of nonvalue added steps within a manufacturing area after a cost benefit analyses was completed of lots through equipment data for several years. Based off the analyses, the team determined that the percentage of lots going to steps could be reduced or eliminated as enough data was collected for yield decisions. This reduction also led to increasing the operational equipment efficiency by 10%, allowing for other processing to occur. Reduced production specialists touch time by 6,080 hours by reducing nonvalue added steps in several fab areas.
