• Processed parcel and address point data, including evaluating its spatial accuracy, QCing the data, and loading data to nationwide database in Oracle.• Extracted and formatted data for delivery to customers, as well as responding to inquiries from customers about data.• Created Python scripts that could efficiently pull data from the Oracle database and roll up the data into the format necessary to create reports.• Led POC project of using spatial analysis for locating units belonging to condo associations using PostGIS and QGIS.

* Edited digital flood zones in ArcMap to reflect changes due to Letters of Map Revisions (LOMRs), processed new map revisions and made spatial corrections to manually digitized Flood Insurance Rate Maps.* Used National Flood Hazard Layer to update Digital Flood Insurance Rate Map datasets.* Used Model Builder and Python to automate tasks.* Analyzed and created maps and reports for preliminary flood zone changes in New York City.

Worked in the Research department and made flood determinations in every state and several territories while keeping a high level of accuracy and production.In the Portfolio/Special Projects group: worked on projects that included finding properties based on latitude and longitude, grandfathering structures into old flood zones according to FEMA rules, and conducting audits of the determinations of other Map Analysts.Cross-trained in the department that did QC work on DFIRMs. This project required much attention to detail since I had to make sure that the DFIRM data matched the data on the paper flood map.— I worked on the Coordinated Needs Management Strategy project, in which I evaluated stream studies done for FEMA. While working on this project I demonstrated flexibility, came up with process improvements, and learned new concepts quickly. For example, I was able to learn how to run river gage data through the PeakFQ program and teach that to my coworkers. I also had to quickly learn some engineering concepts so that I could evaluate the stream studies. During this project I got more experience working with ArcMap and became very familiar with Flood Insurance Studies. Since this was a relatively new project, my coworkers and I had to come up with a work process with which we could get our work done accurately and efficiently.
