About Karen Short

I joined The Nuway Tobacco Company in August 2014. As a family owned and operated business, I work closely on all aspects of the finance and accounting for over 6 operating companies including Nuway, i.e. Financial Statements, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Human Resources and Payroll as well as numerous special projects. Before joining Nuway, I held the Controller positions at VeruTEK Technologies, Inc. for two years after leaving Integralis. Previous to those positions, I was responsible for the Town of East Granby's municipal tax collections. Additionally, I have held various corporate financial reporting positions at Cigna. My audit experience was obtained while working for Deloitte Haskins and Sells, and Coopers and Lybrand. I hold a BS in Accounting from Bentley University and a MS in Business Management from Albertus Magnus College.
