Source, obtain & direct Contract Manufacturers, Distributors, & MRO service providers. Furnish high level of customer service for all internal requestor non-inventory procurement related activity. Determine warranty entitlement. Expedite, administer, track & report status of RMA products. Coordinate & communicate priorities to CM's to insure quick turns of customer owned product, as well as advance replacements.

Exclusively responsible for company wide materials management in a start-up environment. Execute all facets of day-to-day activities by supporting Proto/NPI launch, pilot run, production, inventory control, MRO, services, purchase requisition action, and order fulfillment. Execute, transfer, and transact receipt of goods into and out of stocking locations. Manage inventory levels, run cycle count reports, analyze and verify physical inventory, reconcile counts. Determine material requirements from engineering and production schedules. Load MPS demand based on the sales forecast, and product projections. React to MRP.Coordinate & update project activities, and schedule readiness status with program managers and/or project engineering team.Negotiate pricing & manage commodity cost with all suppliers, including freight & payment terms. Generate favorable PPV. Ensure all profit margins are met or exceeded.Source, procure, plan, create work orders, expedite & monitor the movement of material through the production flow, and life cycle.Maintains and reports on material costs for prototypes, volume targets, and advises of risk assessment.Accountable for ECO, and Deviation review, and approval. Responsible for revision notification & implementation.Work closely with Contract Manufacturer's, Distributors, fabricated/built to order suppliers, as well as Factory Reps, to ensure quality product, and on time delivery at the lowest total acquisition cost.Perform component crossing & drive component qualification for new/alternate sources.Responsible for evaluating and developing new supplier sources.Process, maintain, and track all open PO's, Work Orders, RMA's, and calibration activity.Monitor supplier invoices, and approve payments.Research new BOM's. Supply data for new development such as lead-time, pricing, samples, & data sheets.Member of the ISO ISO9000:2001 Steering Committee. Directly responsible for the materials organization.

Research, source, plan & procure all material for NPI, Engineering prototypes, and pilot launch.

Solely accountable for the entire purchasing operation within the organization. Responsibilities include management of supply chain, planning & procurement of inventory, engineering prototypes, marketing tools, tradeshow materials, services, equipment, MRO, and NPI buys. Perform competitive bids, including preparation and analysis of RFQ's/RFI's. Identify cost reduction and value engineering opportunities utilizing ABC price analysis and other best practice approaches. Conduct vendor research/surveys, qualification and review. Steer outsourcing. Direct, instruct & manage EMS & CM's. Ensure supply capacity is in place to support production requirements. Provide financial analysis for make vs. buy decisions including turnkey of assemblies/products. Compose and negotiate various types of contracts including LOI's, VPA's, and Price Reversion Clauses. Write procedures, policies, and guidelines. Transact receipt of goods into/out of stores. Process & ship rejected materials. Monitor performance metrics & implement corrective actions. Proactively drive for continuous improvement in total costs, quality, cycle time, inventory turns and overall supplier performance. Sell surplus/excess and obsolete materials. Reconcile invoices. Process indirect requisitions for internal requesters in Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Accounting, and IT groups.
