Karen Stanek MD, PhD is the founder of Northwest Medical Rehabilitation. She is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation. Her subspecialties include traumatic brain injury, spasticity management (Baclofen pumps and Botox injections) and Hyperbarics. She was named one of the outstanding doctors in Spokane in 2012, 2011, and 2010. She also has served on the Spokane Chapter BIAW Board for many years. She is the Medical Director of the Spokane Hyperbaric Center. Dr. Stanek completed medical school at the University of Mississippi and residency at the University of Colorado. She served as Medical Director of St Luke’s in 1992-1993. She has privileges at all the local hospitals and serves as adjunct faculty at Pacific Northwest of University Health Sciences.
