Internal promotion all previous listed responsibilities plus the addition of the following:• Leads a group of Dispatchers; creates working schedules, writes training manuals, trains dispatchers, assigns and monitors work of dispatchers, provides guidance and assistance as necessary. Interprets existing and proposed laws, policies, and procedures as they relate to the work area. Continually emphasizes importance of consistency, efficiency, top quality, professional communication services. • Next Generation 911 Administrator. • Serves as EMD liaison with hospital/WVAA/Aetna Ambulance/Priority Dispatch as well as with various other local, state, and federal agencies on matters relating to emergency dispatch operations.• Performs a variety of administrative duties; prepares written and statistical reports and composes correspondence relative to work area; develops budget recommendations for communications division; and assists with the communication portion for the Accreditation process; maintains various records and files.

• Receive, answer, and prioritize calls on the 911 (police, fire, and medical services) telephone lines. • Monitor and answer radio frequencies that cover the town, area towns, and state / federal agencies.• Dispatch police, fire, and emergency medical personnel to emergency and routine calls.• Help to develop the Emergency Medical Dispatching (EMD) program, that is currently in use. • 911 Administrator• Using computer systems to access (retrieve and input) the COLLECT and National Crime Information Systems. Train officers in “Inquiry” for COLLECT use.• Monitoring multi-radio frequencies and talk groups.• Completing, filing, and maintaining reports and paperwork. • Medical training CPR / First AID for Police officers and Dispatchers. • Overseeing new public safety dispatch employees training. • Participated in EMS committee, radio committee, pension committee and safety committee.
