✦ On various development projects in a wide range of emerging markets, I advised on business learning topics, conducted training needs analyses, developed training and post-training support strategies, created training courses, and taught courses on topics that increase food security and improve smallholder farmer productivity and income. ✦ In India, the Philippines, Indonesia, Kenya, Cote d'Ivoire, Cameroon, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, and Jamaica, I contributed to the increase in smallholder farmer income and productivity levels by assessing training needs and identifying and implementing training solutions, for cocoa, tea, rice, poultry, coffee, and corn farmers on financial education and basic business management topics. I designed new no-electricity, limited paper methods to train hundreds of thousands of marginally literate farmers with little to no access to technology in developing nations within 3 - 5 year timeframes as part of large-scale, development projects. ✦ I taught and mentored new, local training providers in instructional design, adult learning principles, and effective training techniques. With a focus on agribusiness environments, the Training of Trainers course has prepared local extension workers to train farmers on how to improve business management, financial management, or good agricultural practices.✦ I helped build the skills capacity of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Georgia and Ukraine by scripting and storyboarding videos on bank products that facilitate in international trade and by advising on how to improve training programs for agribusiness distributors on promissory note financing for farmers. ✦ I peer-reviewed the structure and content of instructor-led courses and self-study workbooks to help MSMEs around the world grow their businesses. Topics include Business Planning; Accounting and Finance; Marketing and Sales; Human Resources; and Technology Business Planning.

✦ I have taught employees in public and private sector companies how to create, cultivate, and capitalize on their professional networks to improve organizational performance, create a more collaborative workforce, and advance their careers. ✦ Contacts Counts' proven methodology has taught organizations, employees, independent contractors, small businesspeople, and job seekers how to connect and expand their  professional networks to uncover new opportunities, uncork bureaucratic bottlenecks, and unearth needed resources.

✦ As the department director, I recruited, trained, and built a client-facing training practice that included 4 full time staff, 30 contract trainers, 6 contract instructional designers, 2 contract editors. This team developed training courses and directly taught more than 30,000 US Department of Defense (DoD) line workers, mid-level managers, senior executives, and internal trainers about two new performance-based systems called National Security Personnel System (NSPS) and Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Altogether, over 450,000 personnel within the Department of Defense (and various bureaus and commands therein), US Marine Corps, US Army National Guard, US Navy (and various bureaus and commands therein), US Air Force, US Intelligence Community (and various agencies therein) were trained on NSPS and DCIPS.✦ As a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), I served as project manager and lead instructional designer, managing the development of 50 innovative instructor-led and web-based courses and learning aids for more than 400,000 geographically-dispersed Department of Defense (DoD) personnel who were transitioning to NSPS and DCIPS. Working with a team of up to 6 instructional designers, I lead the development of multi-day instructor-led courses on performance management, leadership development, communications skills, and goal-setting. I also lead a similar effort for the Office of the Director of National Intelligence’s (ODNI) National Intelligence Civilian Compensation Program (NICCP) program.✦ Additionally, I improved organizational processes, service offerings, and employee satisfaction by identifying and implementing continuous improvement strategies for ongoing employee satisfaction. I created and administered questionnaires and focus groups, evaluated results, developed strategies to mitigate issues, authored reports with policy and procedure change recommendations, and implemented the recommended solutions.

✦ I prepared more than 450,000 employees at Fortune 500 companies for successful transitions to new systems by managing the development of customized instructor-led and web-based training curricula associated with the implementation of SAP and other customized software solutions. ✦ I created and managed budgets and work plans, resolved issues, interfaced with client subject matter experts and leaders, analyzed needs, developed training strategies, edited documents, and managed projects for at least 50 separate projects valued at $125,000 – $1.7 million with teams as large as 27 members. All projects I managed came in on time, in budget, and with high customer satisfaction.✦ I built employees' skills by creating training classes and facilitating workshops to all levels of employees from line workers to senior executives on topics including project management, SAP, train-the-developer, and train-the-trainer.
