About Karen Atiles, Icf Pcc

I am a world traveler, having visited 46 countries to date. The thing I most enjoy about traveling is continuing to build my cultural awareness and world view. My husband and I are active in developing this in our daughters as well. This love for travel came from my 20 years of service to the U.S. Air Force. The cultural experiences and leadership opportunities from the military have provided the platform for not only my world view and leadership abilities, but my ability to connect with organizations in the challenges they face with DEI and building resilient teams. In 2016 I founded Lifelong Development, LLC, a coaching and training company. Our mission is to add value to leaders who multiply value to employees and customers. We are SDVOSB and WOSB certified, doing work in the private sector as well as government contractors. In recent years, organizations have faced post-COVID chaos, 'The Great Resignation', quit quitting and more with uncertainty. Lifelong Development is here to help. We are actively working with organizations to develop existing employees' leadership abilities and train leaders on DEI and how to create resilient teams. These efforts are positively impacting the culture of organizations, as well as increasing retention rates, and lowering turnover and onboarding expenses. Our services include leadership and executive coaching; Generational Diversity; Personal and Team Resilience; DISC assessments; Live2Lead leadership seminars, and more.In addition to what’s already mentioned, I enjoy serving business owners by dedicating my time on two boards: the Apex Chamber of Commerce (serving as a board of director), as well as the City Club of Raleigh (serving as a board of governor).
