I am an experienced and well rounded Biologist who has always been fascinated with science and finding out new things. I have always enjoyed working in the laboratory environment learning new skills and techniques. One of my strengths is the diverse nature of laboratory skills I have acquired in my career.I worked as a research technician in a hospital laboratory for six years. My responsibilities included assay analyses on clinical patient samples as well as research samples. I trained summer interns and senior staff in the laboratory as well. My next career step was as a biologist and research biologist in a CRO setting where I gained experience in a variety of areas including reproductive toxicology, andrology, genetics and biomarkers.My skills include: assay development, SOP writing, data review, small animal handling and procedures, sample collection, reproductive toxicology study experience, Microsoft Office (including Excel and Word), working within a team environment with extremely talented and knowledgeable people, detail oriented in completing tasks as well as setting up for studies and experiments, working within GLP guidelines, PCR, cell culture and aseptic technique, data preparation, radioimmunoassays and ELISAs.I completed all courses required to obtain certification in Analytical Lab Skills. Skills include HPLC and sample preparation, industrial microbiology, GLP and micropipetting.
