Reporting to the director and working closely with the DPO, IT and Operations to scope out and prioritise a large program of work intended to harden the IT infrastructure and update the system in advance of upcoming legislation changes (PNR directive, API directive). Working directly with the DPO office and IT Senior Management I contributed to operationalising An Post’s response to the introduction of the GDPR, including:* Embedding the use of OneTrust (the global leader in consent and privacy management) into working practice with particular emphasis on Assessment Automation, Data Mapping and Production of RoP (Records of Processing) to meet AnPost’s responsibilities under Article 30 of the GDPR* DPIA assessment design and provision of guidance on completion of DPIAs* Production of both standard and specific GDPR requirements for projects arising from DPIA evaluation and risk assessment* Implementation of dynamic cookie/SDK solutions across AnPost’s website and mobile app portfolio * Set-up and nurture a DPbD (Data Protection by Design) culture within the organisation* Draft and introduction of new corporate Data Protection policies (Cookie Policy, Privacy Notice, DPbD Policy, Data Retention schedules etc.)* Introduction of audit processes and procedures to facilitate ongoing corporate governance and track compliance levels across the organisation.

I have direct experience with Primark’s project processes and procedures and have worked with the PMO to trial a new project approach. I have worked on a wide variety of projects during my time with Primark, including:● An RFP for an Alternative Card Payments supplier● A project to trial biometric entry devices● Scoping and designing a new archiving solution for EPOS data● Rollout of new EPOS software to meet country-specific taxation requirements● Working with relevant teams to ensure that new and existing ICT systems are GDPR ready in advance of the upcoming regulations

Which included setting up a new company (GVS Prepaid) to attain an FCA licence to Issue e-Money and to transition all group products from BOI issuance to that of GVS Prepaid. Embedded new corporate procedures and ways of working into existing work practices: * Updated all relevant business processes and technical systems to ensure compliance with FCA regulations and Visa membership requirements * Internal audit of existing business processes to ensure ongoing compliance to ISO certification and new financial regulations

A contract role, in which I led the investigation phase of a large regulatory program. The end goal was to prepare and submit a business case for the SEPA Migration program.Major Achievements:• Gained sign-off of the program costs and resourcing plan from all IT stakeholder managers.• Prepared a high-level plan for the program from the present date until completion in February 2014.• Prepared a detailed resource and activity plan for the design phase of the program

I managed a 10-strong capabilities team responsible for the quality of technical deliverables for the Online Channels Portfolio: requirements refinement, option analysis, solution design, code-reviews and testing of final deliverables.Using an active collaborative approach, I managed a team focused on the development of new product offerings and strategic direction alignment.Major Achievements:• Established and embedded a departmental competence centre• Introduced quality processes at all stages of the software life cycle and have achieved tangible results: follow-up maintenance releases reduced from 3 to 1 on average• Largely eradicated roll-backs of our core applications following project go-lives.

I managed a portfolio of ‘MultiCash Classic’ projects with a particular focus on managing the relationships between stakeholders including 3rd party vendors and ABN AMRO internal customers. Participated successfully in both the ‘Core Banking and Payments’ and ‘Dolly’ IT separation programmes focused on successfully cloning and dividing IT systems, bank clients, security & access rights and services between ABN AMRO and RBS.Major Achievements:* Deployed RBS’ 1st SEPA-compliant Payments System (UbiqCash) on time and within budget during the integration with ABN-AMRO. This meant dealing with organisational resistance due to a shift of influence, addressing the lack of a support model in the original product and managing ABN-AMRO vendors who were in the process of renegotiating their contracts with RBS* Improved customer relationships (both internal and external) by roll-out of a Support Model for MultiCash Classic* Improved working relationship with our technology partner HP (EDS)* Successful delivery of UbiqCash, an important (but previously stagnating) project

I designed and implemented a Group Compliance PMO (Programme Management Office). This involved designing, implementing and rolling out a project management methodology customised from Prince II to meet ABN AMRO internal standards. Delivery of a project management handbook describing ‘Best Practice’ as implemented.Major Achievements:• Delivery of a customised Prince II project methodology to meet ABN AMRO internal standards• Delivery and sign-off of a PMO charter• Successful delivery of the “Global Regulatory Consents” and “Anti-Trust” project work-streams for both the proposed Barclays merger and the ensuing Consortium (RBS, Santander and Fortis) buy-out.

Set up a PMO team, working with department heads to refine the existing workflows and introduce company-wide ‘best practice’ processes and procedures. Typical Projects involved: Design and development of customised Voice-Recognition warehousing solutions, deployment of specialised hardware and custom built JAVA software applications designed to integrate with customers existing WMS, ERP and/or CRM systems.Projects varied from 3-12 months duration with teams generally consisting of 4 to 12 people.Major Achievements:• Built a 5-man PMO team.• Successfully delivered ‘voice’ warehousing solutions to Nike, C&A and Schuitema.

Defined a set of metrics and implemented reporting for the performance of our outsource partners (who guided our products through compliance programmes in different jurisdictions.)The measurements I introduced shortened our compliance times by an average of three months, meaning that our products reached the market sooner, giving us a critical advantage over our competitors.

Shortened the average compliance project by 6 months by streamlining the regulatory processes and workflow. Worked on Eicon’s initial ISO 9000 implementation for the Dublin office.
