Have graduated with my bachelor's degree in April 2009. The degree is a BS / BA in Human Resources Management and a BS in Business Administration.The area that has my interest is in Staffing / Recruiting in Human Resources as I have a solid background in the area as in the work environment and in education to include working with the American with Disabilities Act. Had the opportunity to attend various seminars in the Human Resources field to keep abreast of the changing culture of the industry while the seminars were being offered at the offices of Jobing.com. One of which was working with 530 Inc through Arapahoe / Douglas Workforce Center with assisting the clients with their resumes.Plus have had the opportunity to take computer classes through Arapahoe / Douglas Workforce Center on the Lowry Campus to upgrade to MS Office 2007.Have also attended various seminars and classes at Arapahoe / Douglas Workforce Center to include attending several different networking groups in the Denver area.Would like to start along the lines of entry level - to mid level. With a position as an assistant or as an coordinator. Then work my way up to management level to include becoming a certified recruiter.Have excellent customer service skills in dealing with in-house clients and the general public.Have the ability to learn new software and databases with extreme ease and confidence once the training is complete.Specialties: Have extensive training in testing in all ranges of applicants. Have worked quite extensively with the Americans with Disabilities Act requirements to test applicants with disabilities. That would include working with a deaf interpreter, becoming a certified site reader by the Colo School for the Blind. Dealt with applicants who had learning disabilities along with working on the TTY phone relay. Also have Ethics & Diversity Training along with Disability Awareness Training.

Also had the opportunity to give instructions to the inmates before the testing process to explain how the system works and where they could wind up for their permanent homes.> Collected all information from the inmates from the survey forms that they had to fill out before class (testing)> Entered all information into the database on the inmates' education and work experience> Sent off transcripts to various high schools, prisons and different state offices for verification of education requirements and then entered the information once the facility received the documents into the inmates' file> Spoke with inmates on what their goals where in prison and then placed them into different education or vocational programs for the duration of their sentences> Eventually was placed in charge of the testing room when my supervisor was out of the office (which means I was head of the Education Department )> Gave the instructions to the inmates about the testing procedures and explained about the permanent housing facility they would be placed in once they were assigned their permanent facilityAccomplishments:During my employment time with corrections to include the other two assistants that had the opportunity to work with was the only one to be completely trained in the Education Department. Was the only one to be able to enter all of the information from the inmates surveys on both educational and work history.
