Successfully represented more than twenty individual and environmental nonprofit clients to bring about withdrawal of a Clean Water Act 404 Permit application for proposed construction of a 92-mile natural gas pipeline planned to bisect ecologically sensitive regions, endangered species habitat, wetlands and streams, and rural and urban Spanish-speaking communities in Puerto Rico.

Successfully advocated for clients in Puerto Rico opposing construction of a 92-mile long natural gas pipeline project. Petitioned the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service requesting emergency listing of an amphibian species under the Endangered Species Act (species listed in October 2012). Worked with a stellar team of environmental attorneys and clinicians to file a Notice of Intent to Sue the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for 44 species-specific violations of the Endangered Species Act resulting from pending issuance of a Clean Water Act 404 Permit for construction of a natural gas pipeline in Puerto Rico.

In the California Department of Fish & Game's Yreka field office, conducted biological field research and population studies on spawning adult and juvenile out-migrant salmon species in the upper Klamath River watershed (redd counts, tissue sampling, scale sampling, species counts, habitat typing); monitored fish weirs and fish traps on a daily basis; worked to increase awareness on issues relating to healthy watersheds and salmonid species by organizing and executing watershed-based community outreach and restoration events; taught watershed and fisheries education in elementary school classrooms and at environmental education camps and fairs.

Conducted lab sample prep for an Elemental Analyzer/Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometer and for Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry; Conducted field grab-sampling for dissolved organic carbon/biodegradable dissolved organic carbon, nutrients/ions, alkalinity, organic particles, fecal coliform, and organic molecular tracers; Conducted field testing for fecal coliform, pH and conductivity levels, and soil samples. Assisted with research on global carbon cycling.
