Karen Fretz is the owner of A Thoughtful Transition – a move management and downsizing company that specializes in helping older adults and their families with the daunting process of downsizing and moving to a new residence. Karen believes her work is as much about the emotional and psychological aspects, as it is about the physical act of packing up a home. Moving is a journey for her clients that's often as much about sorting through a lifetime's worth of memories as it is about possessions.Karen is a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a member of the National Association of Senior & Specialty Move Managers (NASMM). Through these two organizations, Karen is held to a high standard of ethics, that translates to a first-class experience for her clients.A Thoughtful Transition was started to leverage Karen’s knowledge and experience working with our vulnerable populations. She understands the emotional, physical, and psychological obstacles this group navigates daily as a direct result of her husband's own disability. The services are a la carte and include: downsizing, organizing, packing, cleaning out homes, managing contractors, planning & executing moves and setting up the new home. Clients can do as much, or as little of the work as they choose. They are in control! A Thoughtful Transition services reduce stress and enable clients to free-up their valuable time.
