I am a public service leader with over 8 years of experience in county government, aiming to make a positive impact on the lives of the citizens of New Castle County. I have a strong background in organizational management, elementary education, and political science, which enables me to address the diverse and complex challenges facing our county. As a County Executive Candidate, I bring a fresh and innovative vision to the county government, focusing on economic development, environmental sustainability, social justice, and public health.As the County Council President, I lead the legislative branch of the county government since 2016, presiding over the council meetings and setting the agenda. I also serve as the Co-Chair of the Public Safety Committee, where I work with the county police, fire, and emergency services to ensure the safety and security of our communities. Some of my achievements include writing and passing laws and resolutions that improve the operation and protect the health and welfare of the county residents, such as increasing funding for mental health services, expanding access to affordable housing, and supporting local businesses. I use my skills in press release drafting, writing, and customer relationship management to communicate effectively with the media, the public, and the stakeholders.
