Karen Floyd has dedicated her life to giving sound to silence. As a young prosecutor for South Carolina’s 7th Judicial Circuit focusing on violence against children and women … to filming women and children’s experiences in war-torn Ukraine, her steadfast quest to defeat injustice is recognized worldwide.Karen is a wife, mother of twins, and grandmother of three “cupcakes.” From Main Street South Carolina, she imagined and then innovated 10 companies in three sectors: Business/Marketing, Publishing and Film Production.Before founding The Palladian Group in 1997, Karen served as the youngest Chief Magistrate in the state’s summary court. She earned her juris doctorate from the University of South Carolina Law School, where she was elected President of the Student Bar Association, before embarking upon a successful legal career. Floyd’s legal expertise served as a critical asset for her business interests, where she founded affiliated yet distinct companies, all under The Palladian Group banner.Floyd has been nationally recognized as “the first” woman elected in many categories, including Chief Magistrate, Chairman of Spartanburg County Council, and South Carolina’s State Republican Party Chairman (the only woman to hold such a position).Floyd has received The Order of the Palmetto, the highest civilian honor in South Carolina.
