I handled collections for over 50 hospitals in the New York metropolitan area. Updated claim information on patients accounts obtained from phone calls and correspondence received by mail from patients and insurance carriers.. Calls made to insurance companies to ascertain payment status, if not paying I obtained the documents as to why, so it can be appealed I reviewed EOB's, handled NF4's and denials/rejections/appeals including C-8.1's, NF10's, and others. Corresponded with hospitals on cases which were uncollectible from insurance companies. Trained newly hired specialists.
