Worked on the complex negotiations and legal work that resulted in the acquisition of UP Global by Techstars in June 2015. The combined entity created a powerful team of committed people and resources to help Entrepreneurs around the world on their journey from Idea to IPO. As Vice President of Finance, assisted with the transition from non profit to for profit entity, the assimilation of UP Global team into Techstars, and the set up of accounting and financial reporting for the combined entity. Was responsible for budgeting, cash forecasting and financial reports to the Advisory Board.

UP Global is a non-profit organization that creates access to entrepreneurship for individuals in over 120 countries through a series of experiential programs run by a community of grassroots volunteers. Programs include Startup Weekend, Startup Next, Education Entrepreneurs, Startup Week and Startup Digest. All Action, No Talk.As VP Finance, responsibilities include oversight of financial reporting, forecasting and systems for UP Global and five affiliate companies located in Mexico, Brazil, UK, India and Malaysia. As VP Expansion, responsible for international expansion efforts in Asia, the Middle East, and India. The Expansion team handles business development, financial & legal compliance, recruiting, community building and program delivery.Worked closely with UP Global's Board of Directors, led by Chairman Steve Case. Managed the Finance, Audit and Expansion Board Committees.

FAA, EASA & CAAC approved repair station with specialty in commercial aircraft window and avionics repair. Served as President & CFO of PAT until the sale of the company in 2010; during which time the company grew from a start-up into an $18 Million business and world leader in the 3rd party repair of airplane transparencies. PAT was named Boeing Supplier of the Year in 2003.

$2 billion food service distribution company with 56 branches in 2 countries. Joined the company at its inception as a result of acquisition and served as Corporate Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller and eventually Director of Finance. Responsibilities over the years included setting up and managing the corporate accounting department and all aspects of financial reporting. Reported directly to CFO as Director of Finance and was involved in strategic planning, merger & acquisition, risk management, computer system design and special projects.
