I have been working in DITA the last 18 months, have extensive knowledge of structured authoring. Proficiency in FrameMaker, Oxygen, Arboretex, and Documentum. I have extensive knowledge of digital media, specifically across the VOD/CDN platform and applications, having been working within that platform for many years. Throughout my career, I have worked with co-workers, managers and various technical teams to offer suggestions on how to improve processes and performance for the benefit of the involved stakeholders, whether internal or external. I have worked with diverse groups and technical teams to define, document, update and maintain operational processes and workflows. Through the development of these skills,, I have been entrusted as a Project Manager, successfully seeing multiple, high profile, software implementation projects to completion. My ability to adjust to change, accept challenging roles, and collaborate with various diverse teams, has made me a quick learner, a better communicator and writer, and an effective trainer. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Business Systems Information Technology, specifically so I could be a liaison between development and technical departments and end users; I enjoy being able to translate user requirements to the technical staff and translating technical process into user friendly terms.
