Provided application support of Verizon's mission and system critical applications on Sun Solaris and Linux platforms. Supported the successful well-controlled implementation of major release cycles as well as any required intermediate releases and emergency fixes in accordance with Verizon's change management policies through participation in all stages of the software development life cycle.

Billing Quality Assurance

Managed high priority projects across the Business Operations organization to strengthen internal financial controls, including analyzing the effectiveness of internal controls and facilitating Sarbanes-Oxley compliance efforts with the revenue and billing functions. Identified process and procedural gaps and drove the implementation of multiple new internal controls.

Verizon

Directed all aspects of billing operations by initiating accurate reporting, evaluating procedures, and executing analysis of financial data. Led a team of seven auditors responsible for invoice and electronic billing audits for the AS400 billing system, accounting for $3.5 billion in annual revenue. Coordinated with internal compliance groups and outside auditors to identify business process gaps and implement new procedures in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley. Participated in all phases of the system development life cycle (SDLC) for all projects impacting the AS400 billing system. Responsible for weekly and monthly management reporting, volume reporting, revenue forecasting, key performance ratios, post cycle reconciliation, and downstream variance analysis.
