Karen Robinovitz is the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Sloomoo Institute, an immersive experience centered around joy through sensory play (tactile compounds such as hand-made slime, scent, sound). Sloomoo Institute launched in October of 2019 in SoHo, NYC with a philanthropic mission around mental health and inclusion. The brand partners with MindUP, a non-profit that benefits mental health for global children, and is proud to support a neurodiverse workforce. In 2022, Sloomoo opened in Chicago and Atlanta. Since, new locations launched in Houston and Los Angeles.Sloomoo has been featured on the Today Show as well as in the WSJ, Forbes, Vogue, People, Fast Company, Fortune, Refinery 29 and more. She is considered a pioneer in the digital space, having created the influencer movement. She was the Co-CEO of DBA for seven years and shepherded the agency’s global expansion. A content-oriented thinker, Karen spent the first part of her career as a journalist - WWD, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, Marie Claire, the NYT, Glamour, In Style, New York Magazine, and more. She has authored three books and spent time as a television spokesperson on E!, MTV, and morning shows across the country. She is heavily involved in contemporary art and on the Board of Advisors of the Brooklyn Museum. Karen lives in New York City.
