My concrete roots run deep - three generations deep to be exact. My grandfather started his concrete business in 1943 when he first planted those roots in our family. From there, the industry and his company evolved with the creativeness of decorative concrete. I learned an amazing amount of tips and tricks for decorative concrete from my innovative father, Calvin Van Heukelem, who engrained the passion for the artistic side of this industry in me. From those deep roots, I have found my own niche in the industry - exploring the creative side of building and designing with concrete. I help owners, architects and landscape architects design decorative concrete palettes, as well as design artificial rock structures to enhance space and its community. Concrete is a medium that can bridge the gaps in design and should be an element that harmonizes with its surroundings.I became a LEED AP in the Autumn of 2008, have a BA in Business Administration from Trinity Christian College, have a masters degree in Organizational Leadership from the University of Denver.
