I participate as a researcher in citizen science, data governance and knowledge management in research projects that develop citizen science infrastructures such as GUARDEN and ECS (Horizon Europe), previously in Cos4Cloud (Horizon 2020). I am part of the EMBIMOS research group of the Institute of Marine Sciences (ICM-CSIC) from which the citizen observatory MINKA is coordinated. I am a member of the management group of the Iberoamerican Network of Participatory Science (RICAP). My interests combine participatory science, open science, knowledge management and environmental sustainability.I lead the participatory science research program in biodiversity at the Humboldt Institute and the governance and capacity building area of the Colombian Biodiversity Information System (SiB). I supported the information management and governance of Colombia's Environmental Information System (SIAC) from IDEAM and the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development. I have been designing, implementing and coordinating projects for over 18 years, including research projects, environmental management in the public and private sectors, community management schemes for public services and environmental management systems.I was an undergraduate teacher in environmental engineering and a teacher of environmental sustainability in the project management postgraduate course for more than five years with Universidad Piloto. I also taught postgraduate courses at Universidad Sabana and Universidad EAN. I participate as a teacher in the citizen science seminar of the Masters in urban design for sustainable cities at the International University of Catalonia (UIC).By training, I have a degree in Environmental Engineering, a postgraduate degree in Natural Resources Management and a Master's Degree in Sustainable Development and the Environment. I am certified as a Green Project Manager - GPMb. I am currently pursuing my PhD in Information Society and Knowledge at the Open University of Catalonia (UOC), my research focuses on knowledge management in citizens' observatories.
