Expanded international partnerships from 4 in 2003 to 34 in 2013. As Chair of the NU WUSC committee, established a successful local committee to support refugee sponsored students, sent 7 NU students on the WUSC summer seminars, and developed a successful annual International Food Fest that is in its 7th year of operation engaging the extended local community in development issues, cultural food sampling, and raising up to $4000 for our WUSC sponsored student annually. Project Director for 3 HRSDC International Academic Mobility projects in Europe and North America. Recruited and sent 5 students on individual Students for Development Internships funded by CIDA and managed by the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada (AUCC) to developing countries, and more recently sent 7 students on multi-disciplinary SFD internships in Kenya.Represented Nipissing U as the International Liaison Officer with AUCC. Elected for a 4-year appointment on the CBIE (Canadian Bureau for International Education) Board of Directors and served on various committees including strategic planning, membership and development of the professional learning communities structure.
