My initial role was to re-open the failed "Taunovo Bay Resort" as the "Nanuku Resort", Fiji. I was head hunted for this position, on recommendation of Mike Freed of Post Ranch Inn for whom I had previously helped turnaround the Jean Michel Cousteau Resort to an award winning internationally acclaimed resort. I created a first ever concept for Nanuku in Fiji Nanuku which focussed on Food Safari Adventure and kids club. Pre-opening responsibility included completing the interior design, landscaping and creating unique standard operations strategies. HR and staff training as well responsibility for setting the budget. My role transitioned into a new focus on operations and management of the resort. Nanuku won Trip Advisor award for excellence and best food Fiji in our first year before it became part of the luxury brand Auberge Resorts. Training the team to deliver amazing, professional guest experiences with the extraordinary hospitality of the Fijian people is always a great privilege and pleasure.

Appointed to complete the interior design FFE, and conceptual direction for Nanuku, whilst undertaking all pre opening operations and resort management for Nanuku, Fiji's first mainland, luxury private villa resort and spa. Nanuku offers a striking, highly executed, Fijian architectural style.Situated at the Adventure Capital of Fiji, with world class golf, surfing, shark diving, snorkelling, river rafting, and fishing, Nanuku offers complete amenities with yoga, spa, gym and trainer, hair salon and Creative Activities bure, all ages are catered for, all year.Completed 5 minute movie, by creating the storyboard and direction of Nanuku promotional video filmed by Magnum Productions.

Concept design and development and Interior Architecture for Kokomo Island Resort on Yaukuve Island for Lang Walker of Walker Corporation.

General Manager for Lindenderry a boutique wine retreat set amongst the magnificent rolling hillside of Redhill on the Mornington Peninsula.

Hideaway Resorts was a newly formed management company with ownership of two of Australia's iconic island destinations, Dunk Island Resort and Bedarra Island. My role was to help guide these properties to service excellence in their market sectors. Whilst very different guest experiences these resorts were able to cater to the same guests for very different reasons. In additon to the operational strategy, my role included the repositioning of the resorts with a major refurbishment responsible for concept design and development. Cyclone Yasi devastated these properties in 2011.

Resort Manager, Cape Shanck Resort on the Mornington Peninsula. Role to turnaround the morale of the team and deliver to member expectations. The RACV Club is all about member benefits, and the culture is quite different to traditional hospitality companies, which requires a new mind set when applying solutions to operational and marketing strategies.

A world first, family friendly, boutique luxury eco dive spa resort.I executed the concept design and undertook project management of the World Travel Award winning Villa. Delivery of bottom line outcomes and unique service delivery concepts to exceed guest expectations.Mike Freed has been kind enough to recommend me to other resort owners following the success that was achieved at the Jean Michel Cousteau Resort. Won Best Family Resort, World in 2011 Frommers Guide on the back of the niche product created under my management direction. In addition won Best Villa in the World Travel Industry Awards,( designed and project managed by me) Best Eco Resort Australasia, Best Resort Fiji, Best Luxury Family destination..

Charged to save the contract my role was to turnaround the guest experience and establish workable relations with the Zoo board. Large event catering and managing multiple retail outlets in one of Australias most popular tourist destinations. Managed the most popular Food and Wine Festival event in this year as voted by attendees of the Festival.

Responsible for managing the operations of this multi retail outlet and Blue Chip event destination catering for small intimate numbers from 10 to 2000. Grew turnover in the coffee shop from $ 800 to $ 8,000 a day by persuading the gallery board to allow a new cafe in the mezzanine level at the entrance to the gallery.

My role was to take this property to a level of guest delivery and experience commensurate with a six star expectation. A very unique management role that was totally out of the box, it required a very different management style to deliver outcomes in a very remote location with staff totally unskilled and inexperienced in even the concept of service. Built reputation and WOM repeat business to deliver 95% occupancy with some of the worlds most discerning clientele.

Asked to help deliver the pre-opening operations for this small boutique hotel I was then commissioned to undertake the full design and project fit out in addition to this task. Patricial Guild of Designers Guild was to do a national launch of her new fabric range from the property which I had submitted to her for her feedback and which she was very inspired by.

My first hotel management role. One hotel property expanded to 8 with my role growing alongside. Responsible for the re-positioning of the property after purchase, reviewing the needs of the business, then having full carriage of creating a concept and design then sub contracting and project managing to completion. I was then responsible for the subsequent start up and operations handing over to a new GM a year later, when I would move on to the next project... though some were simultaneous. Won Best Flag Inn Australia Public Voting Category in the first year at Geelong Ambassador.
