Not your average hairstylist, Karen Wallington is a recognized expert in the health and education of dreadlocks with 25 years of experience and a Red Seal endorsement in hair styling. She has presented online at Bronner Bros. International Beauty Show, the Natural Hair Industry Convention in Atlanta, and is the dreadlocks educator at the Eikonic Hair Academy in Ontario Canada. Karen is the founder of Modlocks salon in Toronto and the Modlocks Method of Dreadlocks education system. In addition to teaching and running her salon, she is the co-founder of Noggin Oil, products designed and formulated for dreadlocks, braids and all other parted hairstyles. Karen’s passion and purpose are to recognize beauty bias, demonstrate accountability and inspire higher standards of cultural competence in the professional beauty industry.
