Gaining a Masters degree in Psychological and Medical Sciences, Karen taught Psychology and Biological Sciences in Local Colleges for over fifteen years. Karen's début novel 'Ascension of the Whyte' is an acclaimed, magical fantasy novel for young adults and was the first book in the 'The Afterland Chronicles' series. The second book, 'Ryte of Passage,' was published in May 2016, and the final book in the trilogy - 'Ice and Fyre' is due for publication in 2017. Karen has two daughters and lives in Norfolk, England with her husband John, their crazy dog Jinks and Pippin, their extremely lazy cat. A talented artist and illustrator, Karen also writes and illustrates a Children's books under the pen name Tessa Thompson.
