Started my own recruitment agency, which broke even the first year - despite starting from scratch without a database in a bad market (and losing my nanny half way through the year!) I had to close the business in order to move back to the U.S. when my husband got another posting with the Foreign Office. Started with no experience in technical recruitment whatsoever, at a 20 year high in UK unemployment and made 3 placements within the first 2 months. Placed 11 candidates at one company (Origin UK) in one year (out of a total of 20 recruited that year through recruitment consultants). Built up a strong name for Vantage in our market and was on all the best preferred suppliers lists. Highest revenue earner in the company and was extremely successful in spite of a very small advertising budget.

Part-time job whilst completing my undergraduate degree.This is a public administrative law firm with over 100 attorneys at the time. Obtained reports, books, journals, reviews from the firm’s own library and arranged for interlibrary loans from other law libraries. Also performed some Spanish to English translation on contracts for them as an ad-hoc duty.
