- Developing internal training and certification program housed in Central City Concern's Academy, with a main focus on behavioral health. - Developing programming for Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC), Certified Recovery Mentor (CRM), and Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA). - Structuring and designing the Academic Learners program with several HR departments and Compliance.-Developing equitable hiring practices for Academy cohorts and developing equitable and accessible guidelines for financial assistance programs within the Academy. -Building community connections to develop training relationships and future partnerships.-Managing projects with the Academic Learner program and Talent Acquisition.

• Designed recruitment program and processes for the organization to streamline recruitment, application, hiring and on/off-boarding processes. Using a DEI and TIC framework to establish these processes, to ensure that systems were more accessible to BIPOC communities. • Constructing an Alumni Network for previous employees of the organization to have access to trainings, mentoring opportunities and a direct connection to Boys & Girls Aid to continue to promote their and the organization’s growth. • Collaborating on a Social Media Recruitment Calendar, designed to streamline posting on social media. • Forming relationships with over 12 community organizations and 8 universities for recruitment collaborations and information exchanges.• Facilitated DEI Committee educational discussions on current events (CRT in schools, “Don’t Say Gay” bill, transphobic legislation, comparative religions, parallels of the war in Ukraine and Desert Storm) and applying them to the overarching concepts such as systemic racism, intersectionality and in-group/ out-group.

• Providing free and unbiased assistance, enrollment, and education, in Medicaid, Medicare and Marketplace health insurance plans to a diverse and often low-income community; serving over 20 clients a week.• Mentoring and actively training employees throughout on-boarding and the duration of their employment to establish quality lines of communication and feedback for employees and leadership. • Creating and refining workflows and procedures for client information systems and to ensure the highest quality data for grants, care coordination and information dissemination.• Establishing partnerships with Missouri Family Support Division and Kansas Ombudsman Office to resolve problems with Medicaid applications and create a learning environment to offer the best support for our clients.

After my year of service with City Year: Kansas City, I was able to work with the recruitment team within City Year. In my position, I used the TargetX system to reach out to potential Corps members to educate about their needs or concerns using my previous service experience and guide them through the application process. Once potential candidates were admitted, I assisted them in find housing and navigate community resources to enable a sustainable service year. Working collaboratively with Impact Managers of each school partnership and other staff members, I was able to ensure that all of the new member's needs were understood wholly and they were properly connected to staff to create an initial relationship with City Year.

As a City Year AmeriCorps member at KIPP Endeavor Academy, I served in a 5th grade English class working with over 65 students to improve student's reading comprehension, fluency and writing. I developed goals and lesson plans for 15 students that were off track in attendance, behavior and coursework. In KIPP, I collaborated with our City Year team and school staff to organize and facilitate whole school events and initiatives . As resource coordinator, I created community relationships and obtained donations for these events. We had received over $800 in donations for the students. I, also, served on the committee for Martin Luther King Jr. Day service project. This was a large scale school beautification project for MLK Day engaging over 350 volunteers and community members. I coordinated the Kid's Zone which enabled young volunteers to complete smaller service activities and benefit from the day of service.

As an investigator for Jackson County Children's Division, I assessed the safety of child in their home. For those that were in need of intervention I connected those clients to community services and was a vital resource in a family's in pursuit of reaching healthy levels of discipline and communication. I worked closely with all of my clients and created initial relationships as they interacted with Children's Division as a whole.

The research conducted through University of Missouri- Kansas City, examined the eating behaviors of female college students. Under the supervision of Dr. Jennifer Lundgren, Ph.D. and Ashleigh Pona, MA, I oversaw the collection and submission of participant data, recruitment of participants and examination of eating behaviors through study protocol.

Within the weight management division of Children's Mercy Hospital, I was guided by Dr. Meredith Dryer-Gillette to assist in the programs: Zoom to Health, Phit Kids and ACES health programs. My duties included, data entry and collection, as well as, profile review and participant recruitment.
