With over 20 years of experience in higher education, I am a senior professor and dean of business, aviation, and technology at Pierpont Community and Technical College. I hold an EdD in educational psychology and an MFA in theatre design from West Virginia University, where I explored the intersection of spatial ability, multimedia learning, and design software.As a dean, I oversee a diverse range of academic programs that prepare students for the emerging and dynamic fields of advanced welding, applied design, aviation maintenance, cybersecurity, petroleum technology, and more. I work with instructors, staff, and students to create learning experiences and opportunities that are engaging, relevant, and effective. As a professor, I teach graphic design courses that incorporate the latest trends and technologies, such as non-fungible tokens (NFTs), packaging, and digital art. I am passionate about fostering creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking among learners and educators.
