Current role in general:Well, still working on our dear 5G -project, but also slowly starting to turn into 6G. Or to be honest, to take 6G into the scope as well alongside of the 5G. So, I don't think we are abandoning 5G anytime soon, but taking 6G onboard as well. Past 4 - 5 years, I've been working more or less as a leader of different small-scale -projects and streams, inside our bigger 5G -project. I'm not namely a project manager, but I more or less consider my work nowadays as a project leader -type of a work. We have bunch of different continuous tool and interface -upgrade needs in our 5G -project and I've been running, developing and leading these streams. Very, very successfully, I must say. Also, I'm part of our project's CI-team, working also in a lead role there. There are a crew of engineers doing something to and with our CI and I am a leader of this crew. So, I consider myself nowadays as a very competent small-scale project leader and I am eager to learn more.Few words about myself in leading these sub-projects:I've received a ton of positive feedback from the management and also from the colleagues working with me and working in teams I have led in past couple of years. As a team leader, I will always back-up my team, when there is a need or if they are challenged for nothing. Also, making 'final calls' / 'tough decisions' are part of my daily work and routines. Trying to lead my team always on front and with an example. Never throwing anybody under the buss, but for sure capable of giving 'constructive' feedback for the one who does not fulfill what has been agreed. One can make mistakes and they are very much allowed. It is an excellent way to learn, but one should learn and avoid repeating same mistake multiple times. Laciness makes me angry. I'm fully fine if one tries his/her best and does not succeed/manage perfectly, but if one does not even try, that's something from where I probably will give some 'constructive' feedback.

Developing LTE UL PHY receiver SW for current and future eNB platforms.

My current position is still in LTE UL PHY SW project. In my current role I'm not running conformance tests for UL PHY receiver anymore as previously. Nowadays the bread and butter of UL PHY's CI team (which I belong in) is to provide well working, reliable, robust testing system for LTE UL PHY SW designers to be able to test and verify the quality of UL PHY receiver SW. My team and I work to get wheels running and CI executing tests continuously for UL PHY receiver. We provide the CI system for testing. Building test places, maintaining, improving and fixing the CI machine (it is a mix of Jenkins and our own tools, written using Python and PHP + database) is the main idea. I'm also responsible of UL PHY's internal fault coordination. If a problem occurs in CI system, it is basically me who spots the problem, makes a report and coordinates the fix.

When 3G R&D left our site, I moved into LTE R&D from the beginning of 2011 and joined the LTE UL PHY receiver SW project. My role was to run performance / conformance tests for UL PHY receiver in LTE BTS. Testing in this environment was quite heavily different than my previous work in 3G side (from system level to system component level). In UL PHY, we are using Jenkins CI tool and Robot Framework to automatize our testing as much as possible. Also, mainly because of usage of Robot (and later on some other CI systems as well), Python programming language is now under investigation and a part of my daily work.

When starting at Nokia Networks in the beginning of 2005, I joined the WCDMA BTS SW Product Integration testing team (job title: Engineer, WCDMA BTS SW Integartion). Main tasks were Product Integration testing in WCDMA BTS environment, test case planning and specifying and improving of testing methods and tools. Later on (couple of years later), my role expanded also to consist System level testing and functional testing (RAN level tests). Highlight of my 3G career took place in 2009, when I was leading (more or less acting as a sub project manager - we called the role as "camp manager") a certain feature team in RAN level. After successfully lead feature camp, I earned my promotion to Specialist in spring 2010.

Main task was to deliver Jet A1 Fuel to aircrafts. In Helsinki-Vantaa airport, there are still heavy tanker trucks in use. Also quality control (of the fuel) played remarkable role of that position.

Nothing fancy. My job was to transfer audio data from news editing room to teletext reporters. Easy and well payed evening job for student.
