• Partner with Business Unit Leaders across GBI• Review all Business Unit SOP schedules monthly, revenue, project gross margin and the project balance sheet.• Ensure accuracy and timing of revenue recognition, invoicing and preparation and control of estimate-at-completion (EAC) gross and margin reports. • Ensure compliant project control processes are in place and followed to meet financial, operational, and contractual objectives throughout the life cycle of assigned projects.• Review and obtain a full understanding of scope and funding of projects by examining the contract, proposal, business case, supporting pricing data, etc.• Review, analyze and track financial status of assigned projects on a monthly basis and initiate timely action as needed to maintain accuracy of the project P&L (revenue recognition, project cost and gross margin), and the project balance sheet (billed and unbilled receivables, deferred revenue and inventory). Keep appropriate management aware of positive or negative project margin impacting issues.• Play a lead role in Project Management & accounting system enhancements and new system changes• Review the project work breakdown structure in relevant ERP systems to allow for proper cost accumulation to support revenue recognition and customer billings as required. Ensure that projects are closed immediately after all balance sheet items are closed.
