In this role I have the privilege of leading an amazing team of business professionals who are dedicated to supporting the early education child care field through consultation, training and professional support of child care professionals and community leaders.

Everyday I have the privilege of working with Child Care Entrepreneurs to build and sustain their businesses through education and consultation services. In addition to working with these amazing business professionals, I work with community leaders to understand how access to high quality child care impacts their economy, helping them to understand provider needs and how to support child care businesses in their community.

 Directed services and training to comply with Federal Regulations in regards to enrollment, in-kind (non-federal share), and parent engagement. Directed services including billing, service plans and direct support contract with Becker County Human Services for Parent Support Outreach Program. Provided and organized training in respect to laws and regulations pertaining to Head Start, parent education, child development to diverse audiences including staff and Head Start Parents.

I coordinated services for over 100 families through 8 staff. I supported staff in creating lesson plans that were compliant with regulations, coordinated resources for families with high needs including drug addition, homelessness and other forms of crisis.

 Investigated child protection matters to recommend the best interests of the children to the court system. Visited with children, families, and service providers. Wrote reports and submitted them to courts, attorneys, and Indian Child Welfare when necessary.

 Managed all children’s and crime victim’s programs including grant writing and management Coordinated and provided training to staff on crime victim issues, grant management and compliance, and organizational leadership Oversaw daily staff activity, client contact and facilitated staff meetings Oversaw daily activity of building and relocating to a new million dollar office space including a visitation and exchange center and shelter for crime victims. Activities included coordination with contractors, security specialists and office design architects.  Triaged calls and responded to crisis for the Crime Victim’s hotline and Becker County’s Comprehensive Crisis Response Mental Health Crisis Line Assisted the Executive Director with special projects and fundraising including: o SpringFest - an event geared to celebrating young children by bringing resources for children and families to one location. o Children’s Breakfast - an event to raise money for the children’s program to provide advocacy and support groups to the children of Becker County Developed and implemented new policies and procedures according to grant requirements
