    I analyze Chandra and XMM-Newton observations to study the spatial and spectral properties of diffuse X-ray emission from supernova remnants. Currently I have two main areas of focus. The first is analysis of the semi-annual Chandra observations of SN 1987A to investigate evolution of this unique young remnant’s morphology and spectrum. Secondly, analyzing XMM- Newton observations of Galactic remnants with a novel Markov Chain Monte Carlo technique to more accurately characterize the complexity of the diffuse X-ray emitting plasma.
