Payroll Manager
Current• Manage the full cycle biweekly payroll processing for all employees by executing on all day-to-day functions, which may include but not limited to new hires, terminations, bonuses, off-cycle payrolls, job and compensation changes, one-time payments, fringe benefits, and expense reimbursements.• Manage all US payroll taxes including new state agency set up/closing accounts, responding to notices or working with tax vendors to resolve issues, documenting and reviewing quarterly and year-end filings (941s, 940s, state accounts, etc.)• Review reporting requirements for payroll taxes, withholding and employer contributions; ensures compliance with federal and state requirements.• Responsible for quarter-end tax reconciliation and processing any adjustments or amendments to previous quarter tax filing.• Review payroll accounting reports and ensure proper accounts are assigned and maintain payroll system accounting configuration.• Support the accounting team with month-end and quarter-end reconciliations including the balancing of semi-monthly payroll general ledger interfaces, payroll cash bank accounts, running reports and preparing journal entries, various accruals and reconciliations. • Responsible for reconciling and uploading 401(k) contributions to vendor website.• Responsible for year-end reconciliation and processing special payments/adjustments.• Engaged with internal and external partners to develop, test and deploy key integrations.• Develop, maintain, document, continuously improve corporate policies and internal controls.• Responsible for year-end reconciliation, processing/distributing W-2s and processing special payments/adjustments.• Evaluates current systems, recommends, and develops operating efficiency improvements through streamlining processes and systems automation.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, Finance, and IT, to ensure successful payroll system implementations and integrations.
