Kari was approached to design and develop a brand identity and platform for a new concept in size 8+ fashion called Madison Plus. After creating the identity and all brand visuals associated with the new brand the owner asked her to stay on to help develop the business and act as Creative Director. After a successful year building the blog, the brand launched an affiliate shopping portal featuring 110 brands. Each feature store was hand-merchandised to bring the shoppers a highly-curated selection of the best in size 8+ fashion to shop now. In 2013, Madison Plus launched MP Select, a new stand-alone ecommerce shop featuring indie plus size brands in limited quantities. Kari responsibilities included the brand(s) look and feel, visuals, voice and consistency over all platforms. She developed strategic initiatives to grow the business and strengthen relationships through strategy, branding, design, special projects, content creation, photoshoot direction and her creation of their model off duty program. Kari was crucial in the development of relationships and brand collaborations that grew the business. Madison Plus has been featured on Entertainment Tonight, The Today Show, CBS Early Show, People Style Watch, Real Simple Magazine, Redbook, Essence.com, Us Weekly, Consumer Reports and The Stylist.com through The Huffington Post. In 2011, Madison Plus received Best of the Web from InStyle Magazine.
