I co-founded MacDougall Advisors, a boutique strategic communications agency for clients dedicated to delivering innovations that improve human health. I built the agency’s public relations practice where strategic positioning and targeted audience engagement anchored impactful campaigns that built trust, achieved business goals and bolstered our clients’ reputations in the marketplace. With talented colleagues to take over the day-to-day management of the PR practice, I transitioned to focus more of my time on agency leadership while still serving as a senior-level communications strategist and business advisor to my clients.As a leader, I cultivated a thriving agency culture, defined our vision and values, and mentored a team that grew to over 30. I collaborated with partners on the agency’s positioning and brand evolution, strategic business planning, drove business development efforts, managed senior-level recruitment, and led internal and external communications. As a trusted advisor and client account manager, I provided ongoing relationship management and served as strategic counsel to over 75 companies and executive teams navigating major clinical and business challenges. I developed comprehensive communication strategies, coherent messaging, and impactful content for diverse business and scientific needs such as clinical trial initiations and outcomes, crises, corporate positioning and repositioning, emerging company launches, IPO preparations, M&A transactions, scientific publications and presentations, and patient engagement.
