    Senior Reservoir Engineer (Gas Development)
    Adnoc Group Jan 2017 - Apr 2019
    • Designed a Full Field Development Plan for a Gas Cap Field calling for an integrated, simultaneous development of the Gas Cap and Oil Rim. This project is one of the first to be considered in the UAE and the Middle East region.• Responsible Subsurface Technical Lead Engineer accountable for all activities related to the management of Four Gas Condensate Reservoirs being produced under Recycling Mode.• Responsible Subsurface Technical Lead Engineer accountable for all activities related to the management of five Gas Condensate reservoirs being produced under Natural Depletion Mode.
  • Abu Dhabi Company For Onshore Petroleum Operations Ltd. (Adco)
    Senior Reservoir Engineer (Studies)
Abu Dhabi Company For Onshore Petroleum Operations Ltd. (Adco) May 2014 - Dec 2016
    • Managed to extend the Production plateau of one of the most prolific reservoir units in Bu Hasa Field consisting of more than 100 wells by 5 yrs (equivalent to an incremental recovery increase of 1.7%) as a result of an integrated Full-Field Redevelopment plan which proposed of applying an inverted 7-Spot Pattern scheme. This study was subsequently approved by ADNOC & Int'l Shareholders & is expected to be fully commissioned by 2026. • Played a key role in the quality-check & synthesis of all PVT studies, inclusive of Routine & Advanced Experiments, which lead to better characterization of the Reservoir Fluids and tuning of the existing EOS used to generate the Black-Oil tables for the new generation Dynamic Simulation model.• Contributed to the quality-check & review of Core Analysis (SCAL) studies alongside Domain Experts to evaluate the quality of work provided by the Vendors' laboratories. The results of this work were used to enhance the Saturation Function Tables of the new generation Dynamic Simulation model. • Directed the implementation of ADNOC’s new Resource Classification System for estimating & categorizing Reserves & Resources for Bu Hasa Field which adheres to the SPE PRMS where I served as the Reservoir Modeling Focal Point for the Team. The work received positive feedback from ADNOC & Int'l Shareholders.• Improved Reservoir Management activities through supporting the Reservoir Surveillance Team by providing essential Simulation forecast for routine & non-routine tasks. Some of the notable achievements include diagnosing & proposing possible mitigation actions for under-performing wells, recommending target locations for new wells & selecting key candidate wells for new Technology trial.• Frequently presented Technical Development studies and Major Projects’ milestones to Shareholders in Workshops, Technical Committee Meetings and Int'l Conferences. Presentation skills & Material were widely recognized & commended.
  • Abu Dhabi Company For Onshore Petroleum Operations Ltd. (Adco)
    Production Engineer (Temporary Assignment)
Abu Dhabi Company For Onshore Petroleum Operations Ltd. (Adco) Nov 2015 - Dec 2015
Giant Onshore Carbonate Field In Abu Dhabi
    • Supervised a Single-Well Chemical Tracer Test (SWCTT) Pilot for Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) in Bu Hasa Field. It was the first of its kind to be carried out in ADCO. o Test was performed to determine the Residual Oil Saturation (Sor) behind injecting water with different salinities (Aquifer Water [240 KPPM], Simulated Sea Water [50 KPPM], Low Salinity (Fresh) Water [1 KPPM]). o Results: The Trial was unsuccessful due to improper selection of Candidate well. Lessons learned were captured and to be reflected in the selection of future candidate well.• Supported Field Production Engineers to carry out several Rig-less jobs, including:o Well Killing and Securing Operationso Wire-line Activitieso Well Stimulation (Matrix and Novel Techniques)o Cased-Hole Logging (Production & Saturation)
  • Abu Dhabi Company For Onshore Petroleum Operations Ltd. (Adco)
    Reservoir Engineer (Management)
Abu Dhabi Company For Onshore Petroleum Operations Ltd. (Adco) Oct 2009 - May 2014
    • Cleared the back-log of Pressure Transient Surveys consisting of more than 100 wells ahead of the scheduled deadline with more than 90% of which are horizontal.• Carried out detailed, integrated Subsurface Prognosis alongside a multi-disciplinary Asset team to recommend the best placement strategy for all new development wells to be drilled & existing wells requiring major work-over. • Accountable for planning, coordinating & following-up Surveillance Monitoring Plans programmed annually for a reservoir with more than 900 active strings• Designed and built a Material Balance Model of one of the main reservoir units in Bu Hasa Field, in order to validate STOIIP estimation from the Dynamic Model Initialization & derive natural drive mechanism(s) contributing to production. This successfully contributed to discern & reduce uncertainty in the Dynamic Simulation model.• Effectively supervised drilling/work-over operations from the time of planning to execution. This includes witnessing Fluid Sampling and Coring Operations in the Field.• Competent in the analysis of Real-Time data collected during well drilling operations contributing to proactive decisions. This includes LWD/MWD surveys, Geo-steering in thin reservoir strata, Pressure testing (MDT/PWD), Bore-hole Image Logging, among others.• Mastery level in analyzing formation testing data to yield robust reservoir characterization (e.g. Pressure-Depth Profiles) to establish in-situ fluid gradients, fluid contacts, assess Reservoir connectivity & estimation of Fracture gradients to apply prudent Reservoir Management practices.• Mastered the analysis & optimization of Reservoir/Well Performance to generate Production/Injection forecast targets employing well performance trend analysis and Nodal Analysis modeling while honoring voidage replacement requirements per reservoir unit/sector. This work lead to mitigate inactive and problematic wells and optimization of target rates of active wells.
